ART WALKER FIELD FUND

To honor his achievements and contributions to both Mt Lebanon Football and the Lebo Community in general, the Art Walker Field Committee asks for your generous support to help establish the Art Walker Field at Mt Lebanon High School Stadium.

Inducted into the WPIAL Hall of Fame in 2010, he is one of only four coaches in WPIAL history to win six football championships; five of those during his 21 year career at Mt Lebanon (1967-1987).  His all time record was 207-73-6.

Off the field, Coach Walker helped hundreds of players to receive scholarships and much needed financial assistance.  As a History Teacher, Mr Walker taught thousands of students and was always available to provide extra help, support and reference letters for colleges and universities throughout the country.  Now, at 89 years of age, it's time for this long-overdue honor to be bestowed upon such a worthy individual.  

We have set a goal of $150,000.  The school Board has agreed to rename the playing surface Art Walker Field provided we donate $100,000 to the District for use by the Athletic Department for the benefit of all sports teams.  Additionally, we estimate the need for another $50,000 to cover construction cost for the Art Walker Wall, signage, and liability insurance, all of which are required by the District.

Your generous tax deductible contribution will go to support the naming rights with the school district, and all other associated costs.
